 MARION E BRINK
Marion has been painting seriously in oils since 2003, after experimentation with watercolours, pastels and Japanese ink sketching.
The Armagh Guest House
demands intensive chunks of time, so it is only in the Low Season that she was actually able to get out those tubes and get dirty.
Since Marion attended the Dale Elliott Acrylic/Oil Course in Villiersdorp her life has changed, and inspired by Dale and his family she realised that without consistency and daily application creative growth remains stagnant.
Both Johan and Marion have a great love of art and indeed use every opportunity to visit art galleries as they travel around purchasing wine and marketing the Guest House.
Both enjoy photography and garner much material from their trips particularly to the Karoo and Wild Coast .
The wonderful dwellings to be found in rural Africa especially fascinate Marion . She loves the faces of the people, and has been known to stop the car, dash out and ask for a picture. The women carrying firewood on their heads and working with their crops in the fields is another source of material.
